Our Story

Founded 2023

Senses Hub was founded in 2023 in Nairobi, born from real fieldwork in assistive technology co-design, testing and distribution across East Africa. We started as a hub for disability inclusion. We have grown into Africa's home of assistive technology innovation, research, co-design and distribution.

Our philosophy is simple: the best assistive technology is researched, designed and delivered with the people who use it. At Senses Hub, people with disabilities are our co-designers, researchers, innovators, paid contributors and decision-makers. We are African-led and evidence-driven, and we let outcomes, not sentiment, make the case.

Vision

A world where disability does not define one's potential, and where people with disabilities across Africa lead the design, delivery and evidence behind the technology they use.

Mission

To champion inclusivity and push the boundaries of possibility by co-designing, testing, distributing and evidencing assistive technology with the people who use it.
